Second Shift Supervisor - Lead the Flight to Success!

Why Join Us?

Step into a leadership role where your skills drive daily operations in a cutting-edge aerospace environment. At Weatherford Aerospace, your impact fuels innovation and teamwork!

LEAD THE SHIFT. BUILD THE TEAM. KEEP AEROSPACE MOVING.

·         When first shift heads home, your team takes over.

·         The equipment is running. Production schedules still need to be met. Customers are counting on us. Quality cannot slip. Safety cannot take a night off.

·         And that’s where you come in.

·         Weatherford Aerospace is looking for a Second Shift Production Supervisor who can lead people, solve problems, develop employees, and keep production moving.

·         We’re not looking for someone who wants to spend the entire shift sitting behind a desk watching numbers on a spreadsheet.

·         We want a leader who will walk the floor, know the operation, coach employees, recognize great performance, address problems, and build a second-shift team people are proud to be part of.

·         If you're ready for more responsibility, more visibility, and the opportunity to make a real impact in aerospace manufacturing, this could be your next career move.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

Second shift is your operation.

You’ll be responsible for keeping your department safe, productive, organized, and moving toward its goals.

You will:

·         Lead, coach, and develop production employees, Shift Leads, and Foremen while creating a culture of accountability, teamwork, and performance.

·         Start every shift with clear priorities so employees understand the production goals, safety expectations, quality requirements, and challenges ahead.

·         Monitor workflow, staffing, equipment, and production performance throughout the shift.

·         Move people and resources where they’re needed to keep production on schedule.

·         Identify production problems early, make decisions, and coordinate solutions before small issues become major disruptions.

·         Hold employees accountable while treating people with professionalism, consistency, and respect.

·         Coach employees who are struggling and recognize employees who are making a difference.

·         Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and employee development.

·         Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, Human Resources, EHS, and Operations Management.

·         Maintain accurate production, staffing, safety, and performance documentation.

·         Provide management with clear shift updates—not surprises the next morning.

THIS ISN’T JUST MANUFACTURING. THIS IS AEROSPACE.

The work performed by your team supports an industry where quality, precision, safety, and reliability matter.

·         Our customers expect results.

·         Our employees deserve strong leadership.

·         Our operation needs supervisors who can bring both together.

·         You’ll have the opportunity to lead employees working in an industrial aerospace manufacturing environment while building experience with highly regulated quality systems and customer requirements.

·         If you have experience with AS9100 or Nadcap, even better.

WHY SECOND SHIFT?

·         Because second shift leaders have an opportunity to make a serious impact.

·         You’ll have the responsibility to make decisions, solve problems, develop employees, and keep operations moving when fewer layers of management may be immediately available.

·         That means your leadership matters.

·         This is an opportunity for someone who wants to:

·         Build a team instead of simply managing a schedule.

·         Develop employees instead of just handing out assignments.

·         Solve problems instead of passing them to the next shift.

·         Improve operations instead of accepting “that’s how we’ve always done it.”

·         Get noticed for results.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You don’t need to know everything on Day One.

But you do need to know how to lead people, solve problems, communicate clearly, and take ownership.

Our ideal candidate brings:

·         High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred.

·         5+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial operations, construction, or a related environment.

·         3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

·         Experience leading teams of four or more employees.

·         Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and employee development skills.

·         The ability to manage production schedules, staffing, workflow, and changing priorities.

·         Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to make decisions.

·         Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and industrial operations.

·         Comfort using computer systems for scheduling, reporting, documentation, and performance tracking.

·         Experience with AS9100 and Nadcap is preferred.

SAFETY IS PART OF LEADERSHIP

·         At Weatherford Aerospace, safety isn’t something we talk about once a month.

·         It’s part of how we operate.

·         You’ll be expected to lead by example, enforce company safety requirements, support inspections and audits, participate in incident investigations, correct unsafe conditions, and engage employees in creating a safer workplace.

·         Strong production numbers never excuse unsafe work.

QUALITY MATTERS. EVERY SHIFT. EVERY PART.

·         Our customers depend on us to deliver consistent results.

·         You’ll work with employees and Quality personnel to ensure processes follow established procedures, customer requirements, and operational standards.

·         When problems happen, we expect our supervisors to identify them, communicate them, help determine the cause, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.

WHAT THE WORK ENVIRONMENT IS REALLY LIKE

·         This is an active industrial manufacturing environment.

·         You’ll spend time on the production floor.

·         You’ll walk.

·         You’ll stand.

·         You’ll interact with employees.

·         You’ll work around manufacturing equipment, moving mechanical parts, noise, vibration, fumes, airborne particles, and changing temperatures.

·         The position may require lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy objects and requires the ability to wear a respirator and successfully complete required fit testing.

·         This isn’t a remote position.

·         And it definitely isn’t boring.

THE SHIFT

Full-Time | Second Shift | Monday–Friday

·         Second-shift hours will be established based on Weatherford Aerospace’s operational requirements.

·         Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required depending on production demands.

·         Bonus: You can handle appointments, errands, the gym, or life before work—without using PTO every time you need to get something done.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

·         You should consider applying if you’re the person who:

·         Gets frustrated when problems are repeatedly passed to the next shift.

·         Believes employees perform better when leaders communicate expectations clearly.

·         Can hold people accountable without treating them poorly.

·         Enjoys helping employees become Leads, Foremen, Supervisors, and future managers.

·         Walks toward production problems instead of waiting for someone else to handle them.

·         Understands that safety + quality + people + production are all part of the job.

·         And wants an opportunity to build a reputation as a leader in aerospace manufacturing.

YOUR SHIFT. YOUR TEAM. YOUR IMPACT.

Second shift doesn’t need a babysitter.

It needs a leader.

·         Bring the energy.

·         Build the team.

·         Solve the problems.

·         Develop the people.

·         Deliver the results.
